College Department Scholarships

Once decision letters arrive from colleges and universities, research the department of your planned major at each college for freshman department scholarships.  If these scholarships are offered, submit an application. 

Example:  The Communications Department at a university offers a few department scholarships for freshman students.  Incoming freshman with declared communication majors should call the Communications Department secretary to ask how to apply.  These scholarships can be as much as $15,000 over 4 years.
