Types of Application
There are three different options for completing
college applications
Online Applications
When you apply online, simply type in the hand-written
information from the completed paper copy applications.
Application Essays
Start early on your college applications and application
essays. This is a lengthy, involved process
in which many colleges require multiple essays
and supplemental forms.
Application Filing Systems
To be prepared for the college admission and financial
aid process, you need to create simple filing
systems for both electronic and paper documents.
Finalizing your College Major
Finalizing your college
major selection is important, but not absolutely
essential.
Military Academy Applications
Go to the military academy websites below and complete
the first step in the application process.
Letters of Recommendation
Request Teacher/Counselor Recommendation Forms (or
Letters of Recommendation).
Student Resume
Update your student résumé by including all accomplishments and
activities from your freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
Student Atheletes
Plan on making a 5-minute video highlighting your athletic performances for
coaches to review and evaluate your athletic ability.
Visual or Performing Arts Students
If you are a visual or performing arts student, you will have extra college
application materials to submit. Be prepared.
