If possible, choose a college major to help with selecting which colleges to apply to next fall. Having an idea of which subject(s) you want to study as a college major will help with selecting colleges. You will be able to focus your college search on colleges that offer your intended major(s) and eliminate colleges that don’t. This will make the college search easier and will speed up the entire college selection process.

Keep in mind choosing a major is not absolutely necessary; many students enter college with an “undecided” major.
