College fairs provide the opportunity to “shop” for colleges. At
college fairs, numerous colleges and universities (and military academies)
have side-by-side tables covered with brochures and pamphlets. Tables
are staffed by admissions representatives ready to answer all of your
questions. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of students and parents
busily talk, fill out cards, and gather information on colleges and
universities at these events.
College fairs offer an excellent opportunity to visit with admission
officers and to compare schools for free. Be sure to stop and
collect information from colleges and universities on your list of
preferred schools.
