Submit Your College Applications Online

To apply online, go to each of your colleges’ website and click on “Admissions” or “Prospective Students”.  Then go to “Undergraduate Admissions”, or “Apply”, or “Apply Now”, or “Online Application”, or “Application”, etc.  Alternatively, if you’re submitting a standardized application, go to Common Application or Universal Application.

Once the online application is visible, type in the hand-written information from your paper application and paste in essay(s) from your word processor.  When all the online application information is filled in and essay(s) are attached, click on “Submit”.  Have your credit card ready to pay the application fee.

If you’re submitting the Common Application online, type in all the information from your paper copy of the Common Application, select the colleges and universities you want to send your application to, and submit the application online.  Have your credit card ready to pay the application fees.  Do the same if you’re submitting the Universal Application.

Don’t forget to complete any supplemental forms required by each college accepting the Common Application or Universal Application.  The supplemental forms will have to be submitted online, also.

Grade transcripts (official copies), student résumé, and other application packet materials must be sent to each college separately using U.S. Mail (it is highly recommended to use U.S. Certified Mail with a Return Receipt).

When completing online applications, hit the SAVE button at least every 15 minutes.  If you get knocked offline, you don’t want to start over.
