Application Strategy – General Overview
The application and enrollment strategy recommended in the MyCollegeCalendar
guide includes 12
basic steps to help students achieve their dream of attending college. This
strategy embodies timeliness, clear presentation of students’ accomplishments
and goals, creating and developing adult support and advocacy, maximizing
scholarship potential, proper analysis of information and evaluation
of student impressions for selecting the “best fit” college,
and being completely prepared for enrollment as an incoming college freshman.
This strategy also makes clear the importance of emphasizing student
strengths and uniqueness to show that extra “something” that
sets them apart from other student applicants.
