Attend Freshman Orientation.
Freshman orientation provides several benefits; it gives the opportunity
to “break the ice” with other students and to begin making
friends before the fall semester begins. At orientation, you
could even meet someone you are compatible with as a roommate.
Furthermore, activities held during orientation
will allow you to better learn the layout of the campus and various
buildings, learn
about student organizations you may wish to join, and possibly register
for classes. You will get a better “feel” for college
life from attending freshman orientation.
Also, there may be opportunity to speak with
an advisor about your financial aid, discuss housing issues, meet with professors who teach
classes in your major, and to get answers to questions you have about
college. |
