Grade Importance

So you’re accepted to college!  Congratulations! . . . but don’t let your grades drop.

Grades and course curriculum continue to count through the entire senior year.  If there is a significant drop in academic performance in the Spring semester, the colleges which have accepted you could require additional summer school work in June-July, put you on academic probation the first semester in college, or even notify you that you are no longer accepted.

Students who drop tough courses or whose grades drop could be in trouble.  College admission officers look at today’s unmotivated senior high school student as tomorrow’s college freshman underachiever.
