You will pre-register for next fall’s classes in the coming weeks.  Many colleges and universities REQUIRE incoming freshmen to complete math and foreign language placement tests BEFORE they are allowed to pre-register for fall classes. 

Contact the Admissions Office or the Office of the Registrar at your college to find out if incoming freshman are required to take math and foreign language placement tests before being allowed to pre-register for fall classes. If placement tests are required, take the tests before the class pre-registration period begins. If you don’t, you may not be allowed to pre-register for classes until after you complete placement tests . . . and by the time you complete the tests, all available slots in the most desirable classes you want may be filled (or the only classes available are those that begin at 7:00 a.m. on Monday morning).
