CSS/PROFILE Online Registration
To complete the CSS /PROFILE, go to CSS/Financial
Aid PROFILE® :
Click on the green rectangle, "PROFILE 2011-2012" and enter
your User Name and Password (the same ones used to register for the SAT
Tests). Click on “Sign In”.
Click on “Continue Existing Application” in the dark blue
box on the page upper left corner.
Answer all the questions. Move to the next page by clicking on “Save & Continue” in
the lower right corner.
When all the questions are answered, complete the payment process. A
valid credit or debit card or checking account is required. When you
click “Submit” at the end of this process, you are submitting
your payment and application information for processing.
Print your PROFILE Acknowledgement for your records.
IMPORTANT! After completing the online application, but before you exit
the CSS /PROFILE application pages, print out a paper copy of the CSS
/PROFILE application. You may need this paper copy to make corrections
to the CSS /PROFILE after your parents finalize their 2010 tax returns. You
may be required to mail copies of the corrected application to each of
your colleges. Put the paper copy of the CSS/PROFILE Application
in your paper filing
system so you can find it in February 2011 when your parents complete
their 2010 federal tax returns.
If your family owns a business or farm, see if the colleges you're applying
to require your parents to complete the CSS /PROFILE Business/Farm Supplement.
If so, print out 2 copies of the Supplement (click on "Business/Farm
Supplement (.pdf)" in the far left column) and fill out one copy
by hand, then type in the information on the other paper copy. Photocopy
the typed copy, make sure it’s signed, and send copies to all colleges
requiring the Supplement.
