Send a Cover Letter and Student Résumé to
College Representative(s) Who Support Your Admission to Their College.
Send a cover letter and copy of your student
résumé to college representatives you believe support
your acceptance to their college or university. This may include
sending letters to professors you interviewed with several months
ago, an alumnus you spoke with or interviewed with, or another college
representative with whom you held a conversation.
Don’t
send a letter and résumé to the admissions officer
who interviewed you earlier; he/she will be receiving and
reviewing all of your application materials and doesn’t need
duplicate information.
Sending a letter and student résumé to college representatives will make an excellent impression and may prompt them to contact the
admissions office on your behalf. Their contact could influence
the admissions office to make a positive decision about your admission
to college.
An example cover letter (admission
advocate letter) is provided. |
