Finalize Your Student Resume

 

Finalize your student résumé ; include all your activities from freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years.  Have a parent or teacher look over your résumé for mistakes and for activities/honors/awards you may have forgotten to include.  When your résumé is complete, make 10 copies and place the copies in your paper filing system

 

Plan to include a copy of your résumé in the college application packets you will mail, and give a copy to people you ask to complete recommendation forms (or letters of recommendation) on your behalf. 

 

Keep your résumé up-to-date on your computer.  If you receive additional awards or undertake new community service activities, be sure to add them to your résumé so the latest up-to-date version is always ready to be printed.  Place this up-to-date electronic version in the “General Information” sub-folder in your electronic filing system.
